Call for Papers

IMPORTANT DATES (2022):
Abstract submission: until October 03, 2022.
Notification of acceptance: by October 10, 2022.
Registration: until October 17 | Late registration closes: October 24 (additional 30% to the registration fee).
Event: November 10, 11 and 12, 2022.
Submission of full papers: until December 31, 2022.
E-book publication: until the end of February 2023.

CONDITIONS FOR SUBMISSION

The authors admit that:

As part of the submission process, they must verify the submission’s compliance with all items expressed herein. Submissions that do not comply with the rules will be returned to the senders.

The contribution must be original and unpublished, written in Portuguese and English.

All authors who submit their articles for publication in the E-Book – “International Congress on Active Tourism, Sports, Nature and Sustainability” undertake not to submit them under any circumstances unless the articles are published within the deadline of one year. And, at the same time, they grant the Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal the indexing rights, in national and international networks, of published articles. The contents of the texts and the opinions expressed therein, such as the reference to figures or graphs already published, are the sole responsibility of the authors. The number of bibliographic references must not exceed 10.

For bibliographic references, the default resource locator (URL) should be provided when available.

Articles for online submission must be presented in Microsoft Word, Open Office or RTF format (provided they do not exceed 2MB), with the following formatting: Tohama font, size 12; 1.5 cm line spacing justified on both margins with 3 cm. Quotations starting at 4 lines must be single spaced, indented to the left and right of 4 cm, in Tahoma font, size 12. Notes must be at the end of the text (Tahoma, 10; single space). tables should be inserted in the text, not at the end of the document in the form of annexes.

The text must be presented as follows: Title centered (Portuguese, Spanish or English); Author(s) name(s), institution(s) and centralized e-mail(s); Centralized institutional title and affiliation.

‘Main Speaker’ communications must have a maximum of 10,000 words.

Communications submitted by guests must have a maximum of 7,000 words.

Free communications/Posters must have a maximum of 4,000 words.

Articles must be accompanied by an abstract in Portuguese, Spanish and English (300 words) and 3 to 5 keywords separated by semicolons. The abstract must explain the general theme, the problem, the objectives, the methodology and the main conclusions. At the end of the text, the mailing address must be provided.

Two copies of the complete article for publication should be placed at the address “citadns.2022@ips.pt”. One copy without any identification of the author (name and affiliation of the authors and e-mail addresses) and another with the complete identification of the article/authorship (title, name and affiliation of the authors and e-mail addresses), including the abstract in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

All and any work submitted must respect resolution 196/96, when dealing with research involving human beings.

Full articles must have a maximum of 30,000 characters (with spaces) including graphics, tables, images, endnotes and bibliographic references. References should be formatted in the APA (American Psychological Association, 7th Edition) style. For more detailed information, see the official website: http://www.apastyle.org/.

Recommendations for the presentation of oral communications:

The auditoriums in which the oral communications will be presented have a projector computer for powerpoint. For other operating systems or presentation software, speakers should contact the organizing committee. In case of using an Apple branded computer, the Speaker must bring the respective adapter for video projection. Authors should provide the respective presentation, duly titled, at the secretariat. The non-attendance of the presenter of the communication will result in the impediment of submission of works in CITADNS´2022, by the author.

During CITADNS’2022 all participants, including Speakers, must present themselves with the barpel identifiers. Their use is necessary for free access to scientific sessions and Coffee-breaks.

Recommendations for poster presenters:

Posters must be a maximum of 160 cm high х 90 cm wide (vertical position) and remain on display during CITADNS’2022.

Material for attaching posters to billboards will be available at the Secretariat. The posters must be posted on the respective boards from 8.30 to 9.15 on the 10th of November. They must be removed from the exhibition on November 11 from 6:30 pm. Failure to affix the poster will result in the impediment of submission of works at CITADNS’2022. The poster presenter must remain with the poster during the Coffee-breaks. The diplomas will be delivered to the author at the end of the event.

To clarify any doubts, the authors may consult the Organizing Committee (citadns.2022@ips.pt).

Review process:

The reviewers will not know the identity of the authors of the proposals, and the authors will be aware of the reviewers’ opinions, but not their identity.

Accepted abstracts and full papers will be published in the CITADNS’2022 Proceedings Book.

At the end of each overall article there should be a brief biographical sketch of the author, which includes affiliation, academic or professional activities, publications and project experience, and email address.
